Business in the arts - supporting new artists

Denver Art Museum

In recent years, the Denver Art Museum has worked with small groups of individual collectors and patrons to build the permanent collection through innovative art acquisitions. I have worked with the photography committee since its inception ten years ago. I am part of a committee responsible for expanding the museum's photography collection by locating artists and their works that will add to the expression of modern photography.

This committee is an elite, invitation-only group with a profound connection to the department. It offers unique insights into the curator, Eric Paddock's, collecting strategy and the development of future exhibitions. Being a part of this committee allows me to contribute my personal collecting knowledge and keeps me at the forefront of the most current trends in photography.

CPAC

I am honored to serve as an advisor for CPAC (Colorado Photographic Arts Center). With each passing day, CPAC is growing as a leading nonprofit organization committed to providing unwavering support to photographers. They celebrate and promote photography through exhibitions, galleries, community outreach, and educational programs. In addition, CPAC founded the Month of Photography, a biennial festival held every other March. CPAC is an indispensable asset for the photographic community, and its mission is invaluable.

CU Boulder

For the past seven years, I have collaborated with Colorado University to offer business education in the arts. In April 2024, we marked the launch of the Art Buff Collective with a grand celebration. As a part of this program, we have introduced a competitive internship program. We received over 100 applications after the January 15, 2024 deadline, exceeding the 12 available slots.
